In an apparent attempt to describe the loyalty of his supporters, Presidential Donald Trump said to rally goers on Saturday that even shooting someone wouldn’t cause him to lose voters.
“My people are so smart. And you know what else? … [The polls] say I have the most loyal people. Did you ever see that? Where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, okay, and I wouldn’t lose any voters, okay? It’s like, incredible!”
The remarks were made at an event in Sioux Center, Iowa.
If I supported Donald Trump, the above is absolutely not how I would want to be described. Especially not by a potential president of the United States.
